They Went That Way

My paintings are modern-day cinematic, classical symbolist paintings. They present a dreamy otherworld where all things are possible.
I aim to create a small, but impactful bit of escapism, inviting all to visit another world, try on another life, feel what it's like to be someone or something else, even for just a moment. This is what film has always been for me, a unifying a humanizing medium, where I get to live out the impossible.
The working title of my new body of work and Exhibition is Cinematic Realms, and it aims to capture this escapism within single, absorbing, mid-story snapshots of allegorical scenes that resonate with modern life.
